Green Mountain Soapstone

Choosing soapstone for kitchen counter tops and sinks is sure to provide a warmth lacking in traditional granite or marble. Hard wearing soapstone is more forgiving to glassware, heat proof and provides a clean sanitary surface that will not stain.

Usually upon installation of Green Mountain countertops we recommend the first application of mineral oil. Periodically, mineral oil may be re-applied to the stone. This will enhance the luster and color of the stone and create the brand new look once again, as well as enhancing the natural veinging characteristics of the stone.
